Turner Ashby Graduation
On the home page, in the columns to the left, it says TA’s graduation is at (?) stadium…3 friends of ours is graduating from TA this year. Graduation date is June 7, at 10 am. However, he said the ceremony will be at TA in the track field, as it was last year. If the place has changed, they apparently haven’t told the seniors yet. I’ll call TA myself and find out for sure; will post exact date/time/place here so there’s no confusion.

The seniors get their announcements this week - so, Bsniffles, get your check book ready!! Graduation is at 10 AM in the “about to be cristened” Ritchie Stadium (aka the football/soccer/track field) and is open to the public. In case of rain, the event is moved to the gym, but will not be open to the public. Each graduate will get 4 tickets for spectators, be it family or friends. That’s got to be tough on the kids in blended families. I’m glad that TA has not joined the other local schools and moved ceremonies to JMU, but it is harder to find a seat.

Sissy Sue…check book in hand :)) you’re right, I just found out yesterday that the field will be “named”…same place, new name. I agree with you 100%…glad TA is not following in others footsteps and holding their ceremonies at JMU. I think if the students go to TA for 4 years, there’s a lot of memories there, so find it only fitting to hold their “final” ceremony for the graduation class there.
My son graduated from TA last year, and let me tell you, that is such a great school! Congratulations to all graduates…way to go!

So glad that the town of Bridgewater did their homework this year and made sure the annual yard sale is not the same day as the graduation, as it was last year. What a horrible mass of confusion/traffic that was…a nightmare!
