Francesco’s is open

I saw that Francesco’s “Ristorante Italiano” is open now where the North River Grill had been. The menu may be different across the Francesco’s locations but here is the menu for the Broadway location (http://www.dnronline.com/diningguide_files/Francescos_1213899856.pdf) and here are a few reviews (http://local.yahoo.com/info-31159438-francesco-s-broadway).

Ate there this evening. Excellent menu. The atmosphere is a lot better than that of the previous restaurant. Nicely remodeled. Lots of soft, recorded, Italian music, and the food was good. The staff was friendly.

We ordered carryout for dinner tonight.. it was very good.. yea.. good food in Bwater.. finally.. hope this one sticks around for a while..

I had lunch at Francesco’s the other day. The food was great (huge portion sizes, as standard in the restaurant business these days). Service was good also. There was a pretty good lunch crowd. I will miss some North River Grill specialties, but I think this restaurant has better prospects for making it there over the long haul. Parking is still a problem and I suppose it always will be at that location.

dinner tonight was spectacularly good. our party tried the calzone, pizza, veal and burgers. all were excellent. one tip though. if you order the calzone choose the small size. the large one would feed an army. not that i am complaining.
