Cardboard recycling available
I had heard about cardboard recycling being available but only recently took a load up there by the rescue squad. They have marked bins, with slits that encourage you to knock down big boxes so they can be handled. I went back to find out what the town newsletter said and here it is:
Some interest has been expressed in having cardboard recycling available for Bridgewater residents. For this purpose, a container has been placed at 20 Volunteer Drive where you may bring cereal boxes, unwaxed corrugated cardboard, etc. to be recycled. For those who do not wish to recycle cardboard, we will continue to pick it up with regular household trash.
And here is a map showing a big red dot at 20 Volunteer Drive:

The last time I dropped off my cardboard, I had an unfortunate encounter with a metal post someone else had previously run into. Their “encounter” had caused it to bend way over, leaving it about a foot and a half off the ground. When I backed out to leave the recycling area, I ran into the post that was not in my field of vision because of the height, leaving a nice rip in my back fender…So, if it is still there, please be careful. Better yet, the town should remove it so it doesn’t cause continual problems for folks.
