Yes, I agree. I travel Oakwood a good bit also and when I do the speed limit, I always wind up having someone tailgating me and making me feel like I'm creeping. I've already gotten one ticket on that road and I don't plan on getting another. I do find it very hard to go 30mph up and down that large hill right after passing Windsor Estates (towards route 11), but I force myself to do it. I got my ticket when coming down the other side towards Bridgeport apartments. I have even had people pass me on a double line on this road when I'm already going 5 miles over the speed limit. It really is ridiculous.

I understand your concern. I live on Oakwood Dr. Tractor trailers are dangerous there as well. I can barely get out of my driveway before a tractor trailer is roaring down the hill. Trying to cross the road or walk along Oakwood can be quit dangerous with the speeders as well.

You make a good point about the limited amount of space for a large truck to turn onto Mt. Crawford Ave from 42. I also understand about the difficulty in getting out onto Dinkel during the times you stated. I turn onto Mt. Crawford from Dinkel in the morning, so this one doesn't affect me, but in the evenings, I NEVER use this road. I go on down to the light at Quarles and go through the college. It saves me time and I don't have to sit and wait for a break in traffic. There are several areas in Bridgewater that are highly congested during peak traffic hours. The other intersection I avoid during the morning and evening times is the one at Marshalls where Old River Road comes out onto Main Street. I have better luck making a left off of North River. Sometimes, if that one is bad also (especially when school is in session), I just go down the alley to Quarles and use the stop light to come out. I hate to recommend more stop lights, but traffic on main street in Bwater has become a nightmare.

I agree with you 100%. Trucks turn left off North 42 at the light onto Mt Crawford Avenue and then take up most of the road and it;s very difficult for them to make some of the sharp turns. I also saw the temporary stop sign being placed at the intersection of Dinkel/Mt. Crawford since it was hit. I think that if the city can't afford to widen the road in this area that there needs to be some "no thru trucks" signs at both ends of the road, similar to what Dayton did to Ashby Street. I've also noticed some extremely long waits to turn left onto Dinkel from Mount Crawford Ave., especially from 7-8:30 am & 4:30-6:30pm. I'd like to see an cost-efficient traffic light at this intersection and some street widening in some areas. Thanks!
