college construction
i see that bridgewater college has started on the new housing units called stone village. http://www.whsv.com/home/headlines/90430554.html . looks as though its going to be a big deal. lots of stakes and flags marking out lots of property.

Did I hear correctly that those units are supposed to be ready for the fall of this year? or would that be fall 2011? If it’s this year, they’ll need to work fast or bring in modular townhomes.

Where will they be located exactly?

they are at the corner of east college street and college view drive. currently a green field. used in the fall for football parking and tailgating.

Tailgating at a church school….now there’s a hard to grasp concept.

I am not much of a football fan but at times when I’ve gone by on College Street before and after games it has all seemed rather tame. I’m sure there’s some alcohol here and there, but nothing major. President Stone has a tent in one of the grassy areas (“Stone Station,” I think they call it). So while there is tailgating, I don’t think it’s tailgating as practiced elsewhere.

Tailgating……if that’s the case, BC’s tailgating would be a place I could be comfortable. JMU’s tailgating is no place for an old fogey like me.
