That Ryan budget

A budget projected to balance after 20+ years of deficits is “controversial,” but a budget that never balances, even in the out-year projections, is “not controversial”? Those media descriptions tell me little about the two budgets — both of them capable of generating much controversy. They tell me a lot about the media doing the “reporting.”

  1. It’s very difficult to find an unbiased source of information. The media in the US serves political ideologies just like the government serves special interests.

  2. A book titled “It’s Even Worse than It Looks,” by Thomas Mann will give greater insight into “balanced budgets.” I have numerous degrees, but this book has helped me understand the concept of “balanced budgets” and “national debt” better than I ever did before. The nomenclature is misleading.
